Being accused of having committed a criminal offense is very stressful, regardless of whether you actually committed the offense or not.

Adding to that stress is the uncertainty of what is going to happen next. Unless you are a career criminal who knows the legal system from first-hand experience, you need to talk to a lawyer. Selecting a lawyer that explains only the Constitutionally-minimum information (such as your Constitutional rights, the elements of the offense, and the potential range of punishment), does not help eliminate that added stress. You must find a lawyer that will explain each step of the process and what you can expect along the way. Explaining the process eliminates the uncertainty or the unknown that you may experience; it reduces that additional and unnecessary stress.

I have represented clients in Courts of every level in the State of Alabama (Municipal, District, Circuit, Court of Criminal Appeals, and Supreme Court of Alabama) and Courts at every level in the United States (Northern District of Alabama, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court of the United States. I can put my experience to work for you.

If you or a family member or friend find yourself in a situation where you are not certain whether what you are about to do is illegal or not, DON'T WAIT! CALL IMMEDIATELY! Knowing before you act can protect you from having to defend your actions in a criminal trail setting.

If you or your family member or friend has already done something that may be illegal, DON'T WAIT! CALL IMMEDIATELY! Sometimes there are things you can do to mitigate your circumstances, possibly lessening the potential punishment you may be facing if criminal charges are brought against you.

If knowledge is power, then knowledge of the law is the Power of Law.”
